University Library Mascot
This project paired student groups with real departments on the Murray State campus, and I worked with a client looking for a water-based animal to represent the library and align with its existing theme. Since an otter was one of the client’s preferred options, I developed a digital mascot that felt friendly, recognizable, and adaptable.
The mascot was designed with flexibility in mind, allowing objects, poses, and expressions to be easily swapped depending on context or use. This approach made it possible to maintain a consistent character while supporting a wide range of applications, demonstrating how character design can function as both a branding tool and a practical, reusable system.
