I embrace the art of careful intention -letting ideas marinate, organizing my chaos, and refining every detail until it all clicks into place.
Meet the Mastermind
Alissa lives for the personality behind design. Every project is an opportunity to bring joy, curiosity, and a touch of surprise to work that could otherwise feel ordinary. While much of her process happens digitally, she’s still a fan of good ol’ pen and paper—sketching first to explore ideas before moving into pixels. Her work aims to be fun, eye‑catching, and visually compelling, balancing bold color choices with minimal shadow to create designs that feel effortless yet precise. Whether it’s a playful illustration, a dynamic poster, or an interactive experience, Alissa strives to make every piece feel alive and memorable.
She enjoys creating branding and animation through thoughtful use of color and typography, and she thrives on projects that offer the freedom to explore, experiment, and push boundaries. Silly character designs, experimental interfaces, and whimsical visuals often serve as playgrounds for her creativity, giving her space to test ideas that may later translate into client work. Her approach is hands-on and exploratory, but always grounded in clarity, strong visual hierarchy, and thoughtful execution.
Alissa draws inspiration from designers and artists who celebrate bold, unforgettable visuals, such as Milton Glaser and Alphonse Mucha. She enjoys collaborating with clients who are open to unpredictability and willing to take risks, embracing projects full of personality and thoughtful detail. Across branding, illustration, and digital experiences, her focus is on work that delights, engages, and leaves a lasting impression — proving that even the simplest sketch or screen can spark joy and connection.
Well-versed in the Adobe Suite including Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects, and Animate. She regularly experiments with app design and interactive projects in her free time.
Work Experiences
During nearly four years at Stinson Press, Alissa gained hands-on experience with a wide range of print production techniques, working extensively on both manual and automatic t-shirt printing presses. She became well-versed in screen preparation, cleaning, and the overall workflow required to bring designs to life on fabric and other materials. Beyond apparel, she contributed to projects involving stickers, banners, and posters, developing a strong understanding of material handling, color application, and precision in execution.
One standout project included designing and producing custom wedding invitations for a client, a piece featured in her portfolio. This project allowed her to blend her skills in typography, layout, and print production, creating something both personal and professionally polished. Throughout her time at Stinson Press, Alissa approached every task with creativity, care, and an eye for detail, building a foundation in hands-on production that continues to inform her design work today.
Now, she’s eager to expand her horizons beyond print—bringing the same precision, creativity, and playful energy to new mediums, projects, and collaborative opportunities.
