For a class assignment, we were tasked with creating a sun illustration to submit to the CBS Sunday Morning News. The prompt was open enough for the project to be anything from abstract to literal and after much thought I decided to create a sun-inspired mandala. The color scheme would remain similar to colors found on a sunny day: various shades of blue and a cheerful yellow to mimic the sun.
